
Players Cricket Academy beat Sehgal Cricket Club by five runs while Delhi Challenger beat LB Shastri by one wicket on the second-last ball of the match

Players Cricket Academy and Delhi Challenger have set up a title clash in the 49th Goswami Ganesh Dutt Memorial Cricket Tournament being played at the St Stephen’s College grounds in Delhi.
In Monday’s second semi-final, Players Cricket Academy rode on Swastik Chikara's century (113 runs in 87 balls; 9x4s, 7x6s) to beat Sehgal Cricket Club by 5 runs.
Sehgal captain Chetan Bisht won the toss and decided to bowl. The Players Academy made a challenging 291 for eight in 40 overs. Chikara added 60 with fellow opener Himanshu Rana (30 from 15 balls).
Then he stitched partnership of 51 runs for the fourth wicket with Vipul (29 in 21 balls) and 66 runs for the sixth wicket with Ashwini Chhillar. At the end of the innings, Jasmeet Nain (44 not out in 34 balls) and Anuj (34 in 35 balls) made useful contributions.
Arun Chaprana (3/56), Ankit Dabas (2/41), Vishal Chaudhary (2/48) and Shiva Singh (1/50) took wickets for Sehgal Cricket Club.
In reply, Sehgal could score only 286 runs for nine wickets in 40 overs to lose the match by five runs. Captain Chetan Bisht with 71 runs in 51 balls (4x4s, 3x6s) was the team's top-scorer. Apart from him, Arun Chaprana (62 runs in 46 balls; 4x4s, 3x6s) also scored a half-century.

Prince Yadav (38 in 45 balls), Shiva Singh (37 in 19 balls) and Ankit Dabas (36 in 26 balls) played useful innings and tried to take the team to the target but failed. Anuj (3/26), Jasmeet Nain (2/54), Hitesh Gemini (2/57) and Himanshu Rana (1/37) took wickets for Players Cricket Academy.
In the first semi-final played on Thursday, that is June 6, Delhi Challenger beat LB Shastri by one wicket on the second-last ball of the match.
Batting first, LB Shastri Cricket Academy made a huge score of 362/8 in 40 overs, with Priyansh Arya making an aggressive 142 (86 balls, 19x4s, 5x6s) and Snell Patel hitting 81 (60 balls; 8x4s, 6x6s). Jonty Sidhu chipped in with 36 (17 balls, 3x4s, 2x6s).
In bowling, Sumit Beniwal took 3/69, Zubair Ali Khan 2/56, while Shivam Sharma took 2/66.
Delhi Challenger endured a bad start when they came in to bat, after losing 2 wickets early. Zubair Ali Khan took charge and batted brilliantly for 99. He faced 47 balls and hit nine fours, eight sixes. Lalit Yadav supported him well with 82 runs (60 balls; 8x4s, 2x6s). Harsh Tyagi scored 49 (46 balls; 2x4s, 1x6), while lower-order batsmen Dhiru Singh hit 30 runs (19 balls 4x2, 2x6s). Twenty-one runs were required in the remaining two overs of the match, which Sumit Beniwal and Shivam Sharma achieved to enter the final.
